The Shogunate is a group of artists united by a love of music, japanese animation, and untied from the bonds that hold most people back. The group was originally called The West Coast Samurai Ninja Klan, and mainly dabbled in parodies of popular a-pop and j-pop songs.
The original members were West Coast Samurai, and Lonewolf, followed in a year or so later, by Nocamaru, then Seraph. In 2007, Bob $wole joined the group.
But, times are never easy for any great band. Bob $wole had to leave the Bay Area for Atlanta, and Seraph and WCS had to leave the stage for personal reasons. The group was devastated.
For maybe a week. Two of the remaining members, Nocamaru, and Lonewolf, then embarked on a side project, called Break Through Heaven. While The Shogunate's music combined Rythm & Blues, Hip Hop, Rock, all very close genres of themselves, BTH was Nocamaru and Lonewolf's excuse to push harder and renew their goal, taking their music a totally different direction.
The side project, which had become the main project, was set aside when Emerging Rock, and another secret character joined The Shogunate in January 2008. Their arrival is only the perfect beginning of The Shogunate's rise to glory (finally.)
