About Me
This the professional MySpace profile for Norm Sanders, an accomplished & emerging Film Producer & Director, who has also written, edited, and acted in several of his own projects. The profile is currently in the process of being "rebuilt" with MySpace friends, since as of about a year ago, Norm's account was hacked & completely deleted. The 4,000+ friends that had networked, all of his films, everything ... gone in the blink of an eye. If you've rec'd a friend request, it's most likely because you're affiliated with the film/television/music/entertainment industries.
Mr. Sanders had been in the financial industry for over 16 years, when he decided to make a change, moving into national sales & account management in a new industry. Though the travel commitment had increased, the added flexibility allowed him greater time to spend with his family for key activities, while still achieving his financial goals, with regards to job & sales performance.
Norm's passion, however, is to be a full time film director & producer. He has produced and directed over 11 narrative projects during the past 3 years, many of which he has also personally written & edited; each film surpassing the previous with regards to overall production value, nominations and/or awards. One of his recent films, "Where Silence Falls", was awarded WINNER at the DVXuser DramaFest, and was one of only 19 films (out of over 150 submitted) to be accepted into the Niche Film & Music Festival, in Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Sanders' most recent high production value short film, "Berlin" is now available on DVD, and is making rounds in the festival circuit, having already WON a BEST HISTORICAL FILM award, and several other BEST nominations for Cinematography, Score, Art Direction, and more! "Berlin", set in 1940 Berlin, Germany. Currently in post production is a dark, dramatic thriller entitled "Last Touch" which premieres in the DVXuser LossFest.
Norm is prolific at networking & working with others in an environment of mutual respect, enabling him to produce some of the highest quality short films the Portland area market has seen. With regards to filmmaking, he loves to state this as one of his mottos: "Surround yourself with people more talented than you are", and strives to make sure that each & every person that's on set feels highly valued for their contribution to the project.
Mr. Sanders currently has on his slate two features films that he's seeking financing for, which he has collaborated with seasoned a writer, Jeffrey R. Hawley, on.
