I’ve always been a driven person in life…set strategic goals, stayed motivated and determined to get where I wanted to get! I felt like the underdog growing up….I’m sure some of you can relate-- not growing up with much and dreaming to be something more!!--Despite growing up in poverty and no dad in site, I knew that I could be all I wanted to be if I really believed and staid FOCUSED!! So I did! I had a passion to be a professional wrestler since I was a 15 years old J I saw all the amazing larger then life superstars and knew it was my calling! I emulated these guys & began working on my body to appear just like them. I was ready! I wanted this more than anything! Life throws some curveballs at you, doesn’t it?! I know that there are many speculations…assumptions… and rumors out there--some true, some not-- not just about myself but other wrestlers and the industry in general. But you don’t know what you know till you’ve walked a mile in our shoes! Unfortunate circumstances happen and sometimes you get lost in the spotlight…sometimes things are not as they appear to be! Haha :) I’ve gone through many ups and downs in this business and in my life; however, I feel blessed and am grateful for the opportunities I was given with the WWE. I got a chance to travel the world! I’ve had a chance to wrestle my idol--Mr Shawn Michaels! I’ve met so many wonderful people that I’m grateful to call friends….and more than anything I’ve gotten a chance to be an example to many people. Granted I have not always made the right choices and have gotten caught up in certain “bad†habits….and this is no excuse, but I am human…& no one is perfect!….Sometimes you have to fall down…and fall hard, in order to open your eyes and see your full potential!! I’m only 24, but all that I’ve been through and will continue to go through makes me stronger as a person. “You are safe to be all that You are†and I know that I will continue to peruse my goals and dreams because I believe in me and am fortunate enough to have the right people in my life to remind me that…when those crazy curveballs come my way ;) To all of you wonderful people who have never stopped believing in me through the years…and still continue to~ THANK YOU! ~Chris Mordetzky~ formally Chris “The Masterpiece†Masters
