BOY...PEACE AND BLESSINGS!!!born April 10, 1981, the second born son to Sylvia Dowden, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. At an early age, Thompson was introduced to music by his step-father. In Thompson’s initial attempt in a talent show, the crowd showed immense interest for his theatrics. This outpouring of support helped Thompson, his brothers, and sister decide to form a hip hop dance group. First known as Drug Free Zone, they later altered the group’s moniker to The Intelligent Ones.
Thompson continued performing with his family until the age of sixteen when he came upon his first major crossroads. His desire to perform in sports got in the way, and his step-father told him he had two doors to choose between. Behind the first was music, but through the second door were sports and academics. He chose the latter.
From there Thompson began to play football, basketball and ran track. The true highlights began his junior year in high school, when Thompson won his first state championship in the high jump. His senior year included trips to three state championships. State football an afterthought, Thompson later led his basketball team to the state championships as the team MVP. The climax of the year occurred when Thompson successfully defended his high jump title, draping another golden medallion around his neck.
Two years following graduation, Thompson earned a spot on Central Arizona College’s track and field team. As a walk-on, Thompson proceeded to win his first National Junior College Association of America’s national championship in high jump. In the same meet, Thompson placed 5th in the triple jump. An event he increasingly thrives .. a tragedy within the family, Thompson returned home to Colorado Springs. Saving up another year, Thompson attempted another walk-on at Paradise Valley Community College. Once more Thompson regained his dominance in the high jump, winning his second NJCAA championship, during fall’s indoor track season. Another medal came in the form of silver in the long jump.
At the spring outdoor national championships, Thompson won again in the high jump, won the triple-jump, earned sixth in the long jump.
Thompson’s personal record in the high jump competitively is 7 feet, two-and-three quarters inches. His longest triple jump is 50 feet, eight inches. Long jump is 24 feet and seven inches.
Currently Thompson is training for the OLYMPIS!
On the side Thompson is mentor to a young high school track athlete from Chicago. In one of his boastful moments, Thompson can be seen leaping luxury sedans for entertainment.
As a bright and supremely talented individual, Thompson manages to harness a competitive spirit to compliment those traits. This unique combination makes Thompson a potential track star and icon.http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k244/lmoreno_08/?acti
