Karate-I'm a brown belt, I like to do katas (forms), I don't like to spar, Spanish-I try to maintain my semi-fluency by reading books in Spanish, listening to music in Spanish, and watching TV and movies in Spanish, Crosstitch-I've been working on the same lighthouse for two years now, so I obviously don't have much free time, School-I enjoy my classes most of the time, I know, I'm a nerd, Cycling-I blame Steve for this, I mostly just watch pro cycling on TV, although I do ride my bike to school fairly frequently, Reading-See below, Monkeys/Apes-I am borderline obsessed with them, I have a framed picture of a baby orangutan in my living room, Cooking-I have a bread machine and a crockpot that I enjoy a lot because they are so easy to use, I also like to make pound cake (Grandma's recipe), Board games-The only people who will usually play with me are my brothers and my parents, though, Wine tasting-It sounds pretentious, but it's actually really fun, Xena-My roommate's Husky, he lets me take her on walks sometimes
I like too many artists to name. Anything from Bad Religion to Les Miserables to Juanes.
My favorite is Life is Beautiful, an Italian film with English subtitles, even though I pretty much cry throughout the entire movie. I also like Whale Rider, In America, Amelie, Big Night, and All Dogs Go To Heaven.
Jeopardy, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, Scrubs, The Office, Supernanny, Malcom in the Middle, Family Guy, Judge Judy
I love to read. It is my favorite pastime. I like dorky stuff, but that is the story of my life. I like the series "People of the ___" by Gear. They are fictional books about Native Americans with real archeological data woven into the stories. I like Sidney Sheldon, John Irving, Orson Scott Card, and Jean Auel. I liked "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" by Mark Haddon a lot. I also like to read the same book in Spanish and English at the same time to practice my Spanish skills.
