First, I need to thank all of you who have supported my new film Commitment vs. Phobia with your pre-order purchase. Your support in that manner in addition to your prayers and encouraging words have helped me to continue down the very difficult path of making a film and it has helped me to stay the course and not give up. We're still on the journey but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it's shinning bright and I can not wait to get there to see it in its full glory. HISTORY OF THE FILM A few years ago, I was asked by one of the leaders of the Singles Ministry of my Church, Faithful Central Bible Church, to write a play for the ministry about being single and the issues of commitment. The purpose was to arouse conversation about the growing number of singles and the diminishing number of marriages in the church. God truly blessed my mind to write a play that created a buzz of great dialogue. Through the characters in the play, many people noted that they were blessed by the play to see their faults and short comings in their relationships and the dialogue helped them to open up and have healthy conversation with the one they were dating. Thankfully, it was a success.
NOW I NEED MUSIC FROM ALL TALENTED ARTIST. Yo, check it, I'm seeking music for this film from R&B, Gospel, Contemporary Jazz and CLEAN Rap Artists and Gospel Rap Artist. A good friend of mine is a producer for an A List rapper and he is helping put together a sound track for this film. If you'd like your music to be considered, hit me here on the space with your page to hear your stuff and we'll see if we can make it happen. I'm looking fofr artists who have unknown hits that on on par with todays top artists.
To be more specific of my needs, I really need a title song for the film. I need a song about a womans fear to commit to a man and a song about a mans fear to commit to a woman. These can be uptempo, slow, jazzy, rap, Gospel, Gospel Rap, but I need that.
AUDITION OPPORTUNITIES! I can not cast everyone I know and/or meet here on the space but I can give you an opportunity to audition. This film is not fully casted as there are new characters add to the script. If you have a reel, guide me to your page or to your LA Casting page or YouTube or wherever to check you out. I really want to see previous work. However, if you do not have a real, guide me to your page to check out your headshot and bio (if you've written about work you've done in your ABOUT ME) I am open to people auditioning via on-line. If your headshot and resume or Bio is on par with one of the Characters I'm looking for and you don't live in LA but want to audition. I will have someone contact you, get the sides to you and you can put it on tape, get an HTML Code for it and send it to me or guide me to YouTube or however you want to do it. I truly desire to help up and coming actors obtain an opportunity for work as well as helping established actors continue down their path to working. So, there it is.
Let me close by saying, Commitment vs. Phobia will be a film that will be on par with anything the studios have released and more and this will only be possible by way of a collaborative effort. I truly need you for this film to be successful and I'm looking forward to working with those who are able to come on board for this project.
