NEWS december 2008: second album finally finished (Chapter 2)!!!
'For Andrei' is a project in dedication to Andrei Tarkovsky, and especially the music, sounds, poems, text and spoken material in his films. As an admirer of Tarkosvky I've always been impressed by the way Tarkovsky uses sounds in his films. So I decided to make 'soundtracks' for personal use. I've made six 20-minute pieces of his films: Stalker, Ivanovo Detstvo, Offret, Zerkalo, Nostalghia and Solaris. All can be listened here (excerpts). Visit the blog to view the poems and dialogue (in English) in these fragments. From every film Tarkovsky has made a piece will be made. All music, sounds and dialogue are from the original films. I thought I shouldn't be the only person interested in the way Tarkovsky uses music and sound. I decided to put it on MySpace so everybody can experience these pieces. My intention is to respect the work of Tarkovsky and stay true to his believes.
