I grew up in Lompoc California, and had an interesting childhood driven by curiosity and debauchery (there are a lot of interesting stories). I graduated with my Master's in Biology a few years ago, and then kept myself busy teaching at the University level as a Lecturer. Although teaching was extremely fulfilling, I began to miss research, so I have recently entered a Ph.D. program where I am studying the ecological implications of the management of invasive species via prescribed fire and other methods. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am eccentric, but very devoted to friends and family.
