About Me

Known as one of the “Who’s Who of region onstage talent”, Chanlon Jay Kaufman is recognized as one of the most promising performers in Southern California. Critically recognized for his “glorious” and “mutli-range tenor voice”, his vocal versatility has spanned from operettas to rock and roll (and everything in between). Having been born into a family of theatrics, his youth was spent within the four walls of a proscenium (debuting as a munchkin in The Wizard of Oz by the age of five). He continued his studies in theatre arts and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Redlands (home to Broadway’s John Raitt and composer Frederick Lowe). He credits his success to all the directors and teachers, who have mentored and help shape his craft, his agents Jacole Kitchen and Victoria Morris at Kazarian Spencer & Associates (KSA), and of most of all, to his loving and supportive family.
