About Me

(28 apr 08 update)

Tracks updated! The newer processed stuff. Not that you can tell with reprocessed myspace mp3s, but we give it our go.

For this project, we concentrate on making music only from that mysterious or perhaps known place where inspirations comes from. We focus on reinterpreting the vision of films reflection of culture of the last 50 years using our dance music, focusing on the darker themes while attempting to strike a balance in the sound portrait of tech-trance dance, psy-laden with twisted creations using some hardware sound processing machines build by our own hands. Inspired by the masters of this art from 1999-2001 or so, we seek to redefine the sound of hard tech trance. If the work 'trance' and dance music gets to you, then listen further if you dare. We eliminate the cheese except for sandwiches and sweat over the arrange and technical production

If you have head this far, then maybe you are interested, who knows? We don't do minimal especially with retro bleep bloop hardware; crafting out sound. Each sound has it's own space, and their journey though your brain may leave a temporary hole. Just wait awhile for this temporary brain bubble to recede!

This music may be considered to fall generally within the old dark psy/tech from 9 years ago, but with newer production techniques, arrange style and overall uniqueness. Not your fathers Goa or Psy trance. PsyTechno sometimes so deeps that requires no taking of substances to still work in the brain.

So we are not psytrance, but a reflection of humanity in all of our graces and grinding on. Our human machine so augmented by our own invented machines.

Jay Indigom and Steve Equisol , in D-Space Studios are the minds who make up "Shadow Machine" a project psy-tech and different than our previous efforts as progressive booty-shaking acts of " D-Space ", " M-Field " (with Rob-ot of San Fran), " Equisol ", and the harder edge more raw " Alpha Channel " ( PsyBooty Records )

We are studio and live vets; playing since (2002) and producing since 2000 with LOTs of encouragement from friends in Boston, San Francisco, and NYC (we love you guys!).

One of our strong points is a hard psy-tech for the live events set to finish the night of dance before leading the journey into our groovy and proven psy-booty grooves of D-Space (soon on Soul Trance Records of Boston/San Fran and who knows what next?) and M-field (singles and album available on Psybooty Records ). Of course, each act can be performed singularly as well to go with the flow of your event, with up to 6 hours of music with live, DJ sets, and chillout.

"Shadow Machine" is therefore not our only music project (we have 4 ours over the course of almost 8 years), or inspiration. The project is one of our explorations in audio, and we intend to continue along the spiral.

Best venue for this: outside under the stars and trees. The soundtrack to your own personal Matrix.

Sounds Like: Twisted sounds inspired by tech-trance and psy-trance, and the machinery of life that surrounds us. Dance music faster than 140BPM, syncopated organic cogs tightly bound in a machine of purpose and re-invention. Hypnotic all the way. Mostly processed through our hand made analog gear. Think, organic and breathing with a heart of darkness pumping life onward.
Record Label: various for other projects; looking for the next..
Type of Label: Indie
