About Me

I grew up in Saddle Brook (Bergen County, NJ) and attended Rowan University in Glassboro (Gloucester County, NJ), where I majored in journalism.
Since graduating I have worked for three newspapers: The Bridgeton/Millville News in Bridgeton (Cumberland County, NJ), The Ocean County Observer in Toms River (Ocean County, NJ) and The Newark Star-Ledger (Essex County, NJ), where I currently work as a copy editor on the sports desk.
Over the past few years I've lived in Seaside Heights, Neptune (Monmouth County, NJ) and Brick, where I currently have an apartment. In other words, I've lived all over this state -- not surprisingly, Springsteen and Bon Jovi are among my musical interests -- and chances are if you've lived in any of these areas we may have crossed paths at one time or another.
In addition, I volunteer with the Ocean, Inc. Head Start organization, where I have been lucky to work with some amazing preschool kids in both Toms River and Brick over the past several years.

Garden State, The Last Kiss, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Rent, Lost In Translation, Catch Me If You Can, Forrest Gump, Miracle, The Breakfast Club, crazy/beautiful, In Good Company, Mystery, Alaska, Fools Rush In, Almost Famous, etc.

Television:

Party of Five ... yes, I know that's been off the air for like six years now.

Books:

Generally anything by Jodi Picoult, Michael Crichton, Richard Price, Jennifer Weiner, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, have recently gotten into NPR people like David Sedaris and Sarah Vowell, also enjoy Mitch Albom and I tend to read whatever other people lend or suggest to me.
