“Alice Cooper†tribute band “Gallus Cooper†have been busy establishing a solid reputation on the U.K. Rock Tribute scene for their accurate renditions of some of rock’s greatest anthems with over the top stage shows and props paying homage to both the Alice Cooper group and Alice solo eras.
The Gallus band draws the material from a wealth of well known hits spanning the AC group from the 1970’s to present day Alice solo hits. At a Gallus Cooper show you’ll hear classics from “School’s Outâ€, “Under My Wheelsâ€, “No More, Mr. Nice Guy†and “18†to more recent rock anthems such as “Poisonâ€, “Hey Stoopid†and “Bed of Nailsâ€.
Alice Cooper himself found out about the band in November 2007, courtesy of Rock Radio DJ Kieron Elliott, who owned up to having played a massive wind-up earlier on the day of Alice’s Scottish gig, claiming to be “Mr. Furnier’s†attorney and looking for massive royalties from lead singer “Gallusâ€. A rep from the Performing Rights Society checked out Gallus’s next gig, reportedly sent by “Mr. Alice Cooper†to check that due royalties were being paid! The wind-up was played repeatedly on Rock Radio 96.3FM and has been posted more than once on ‘social networking’ sites by the said Mr. Elliott. The band were then personally Invited along to meet “Alice†at a headline show in Germany where the band got to meet their hero and swap T-shirts.
The show continues to evolve, with more tracks being added and expanding the theatrical aspects of the shows including appearances from “Lady Macbeth†the snake used by “Alice Cooper†himself when touring the U.K, straight jackets, on-stage medics and Nurses making this an unforgettable tribute show.
With recent appearances alongside the UK's premier KISS Tribute, “Dressed To Kill†and playing to crowds of 800 people at the “Monsters Of Mock†Tribute shows the future is looking up for the “Gallus Cooper Groupâ€.
