BILLY
Billy is the Breadwinners' baritone-voiced slick talker. In public, he’s usually a man of few words, but in the booth he is a craftsman of subliminals. His most notable verses are packed with lightly harmonized punch lines that usually have a double meaning. FRESH
Fresh is the group’s energetic wordsmith. Usually at one octave higher than Billy, his voice cuts through the track and instantly grabs the ear with a presence that reminds one of hip-hop’s more lyrical times. Adept at wordplay, Fresh’s verses usually end with a deep breath due to his non-stop delivery. Choosing honesty over embellishment, his rhymes range from thought-provoking to humorous, all with an impressive pattern that seems to weave its way though the beat.
CELLO a.k.a. LO
Lo is the groups’ weapon X. The latest addition to Breadwinners, this mixed member brings a unique flair to the group. With a style that he refers to as “swagnificent”, he instantly injects a whole ‘nother level of confidence and creative wordplay to songs with a flow that borders on narcissistic. While he’s quite used to studio work, he’s garnered the respect of his peers all over the South Jersey area from his roasting, top-of-the-dome freestyle ability that‘s reminiscent of greats such as Eminem, or Redman.
Jason
Jason is ’bout his business. Though not a performer, he is a valuable group member in his own right, as the Breadwinners’ bread-talker. If Breadwinners were tag-team wrestlers, he would be Jimmie Hart. You’ll more than likely catch him on a call or typing in his PDA. His role is pretty simple: Want to book Breadwinners?
