October Rust

Nathan Crudestein: (aka Nate Crude, The Key Heeb, Nate-08, Chopsticks, Schroder, Lambchops) Born in Chicago in 1939 Nate was in and out of juvenile detention centers and local jails until the mid 60’s when he hooked up with Jim Morrison and stumbled into instant stardom playing keyboards for The Doors. Very proud of his Jewish heritage he eventually moved to Brooklyn to be with other Jewish people and grew his hair out into a monstrous afro. He was still playing keys for The Doors when the idea for forming October Rust came up but he agreed to share duties between both bands. The other three members of October Rust ran background check on him based on his unkempt appearance and discovered he wasn’t actually the keyboardist for The Doors but for a tribute band called The American Night. Also turns out he was lying about his age, living in Chicago, being Jewish, and the afro’s actually a wig.Nate enjoys Mel Brooks movies, Seinfeld reruns and anything by the Marx Brothers. He spends most of his free time grooming his lamb chop sideburns and scouring the Internet for scary sound effects_____Ryan Rude: Ryan has been described as tall, dark, handsome and mildly psychotic. Ryan has never been a hard worker; in fact he got through most of his life on his rugged good looks and freakishly deep voice. Only stable job he had other than washing dishes at the soup kitchen was doing voice-overs from condom commercials on the radio. They paid him in propylectics instead of money but that worked out okay. He hit a dating rut that lasted a few years so in the fall of 2007 decided to form October Rust to improve his chances of getting laid.A few of Ryan’s favorite things – Boone’s Farm Strawberry Hill, rolling his R’s and hotels that charge by the hour._____Michael Lewdowski (aka Michael Lewd, The Human Drum Machine, Sleepwalker, Alseep At The Wheel) Michael is in 9 bands. He leaves one practice to come to October Rust’s practice then leaves there directly to the next practice. He was living in his car in the Evolution Studios parking lot studying his Daytimer when Ryan backed into him trying to park his car. Realizing he was at fault and he couldn’t afford another DUI Ryan offered to let Michael sit in on a practice. After playing with him that evening Nate told him he was hands down the best drummer they had auditioned to that point and offered him the position. Of course Nate’s a liar, they hadn’t auditioned any drummers but the other two played along so Michael took the compliment and agreed to join.When not at some band practice or show Michael is in deep sleep._____Spot Stewed (aka Spot) Spot has no last name, they just gave him Stewed because it rhymed with the other the other three. Spot’s strong points don’t include much of anything though he’s big on oral hygiene and is said to have a green thumb. Aside from that he really doesn’t bring much to the table. Throughout the years he’s been in a numerous succession of shitty bands all leading to the moment he would be asked to join October Rust. Initially it was just to clean up their practice space but one night he showed up with his guitar and they realized the band made more sense with a guitar player in it even if he did suck. Spot says “Low self-esteem is a form of self expression.” Everyone else just thinks he’s a loser.Spot spends his spare time developing lavish conspiracy theories involving mannequins, lesbians, chickens and reality TV personalities.
