"The Breast Cancer Diaries" is a place for women currently battling the illness, women who have fought and won, loved ones, friends, or anyone who has an interest or has been effected; a place to come and share feelings, experiences, encouragement, and/or thoughts..
..Breast Cancer is a serious, life threatening issue that continues to be a reality for many women all over the world. In 2003, my dear mother, Rosalyn, passed away from the disease, and having been, not only a first hand witness of the physical and emotion pain that comes with the cancer, but more so the daughter of such an innocent victim is something so painful, and absolutely heartbreaking. That period of my life put me in a very disheartened and depressed state, and what made it worse was that I kept everything inside, not expressing and letting go of my feelings, which made closure a hard thing to obtain. My ambition is to create a place where women can not only share their stories and experiences, love and support, but a place to gain inspiration from each other, strength to keep fighting, and hope for the future. One can not go it alone, regardless of which pair of shoes you may find yourself trekking in, I’ve learned that the hard way, but that doesn’t mean others have to do the same. We are each others’ support… Together, we are capable of finding a cure, and together, we WILL find the cure.
