Everyone always says that they've been singing since they were babies and carried that into their later lives. My story is different. I could always sing but I didn't start singing properly until I was 15. All the years before that consisted of small showcases for my family, prancing about singing songs that me and my cousin had written, and one performance for my school at age 10, which pushed me to start practising.
Back to age 15, I wrote my 1st 'serious' song called 'Grey Clouds'. I remember my Mum saying that she wasn't feelin' it, and it was too long, so I knew from then that I could always trust my Mum to be real with me. The song had this H-Town feel to it, proper slow jam. I'm going on about this song because it was also the 1st song that I had produced and the 1st song of my own that I had ever performed in public.
At age 16 I had performed at several college events as well as two performances at the NuSkool Movement Live shows at The Hard Rock Cafe.
Between that time and now, I've done a couple showcases but most of my time has been spent studying at university.
I put off setting up my space because I didn't feel I was ready to commit to it 100%, but now I'm ready. At age 20, I am a singer, songwriter and producer, and I'm ready to start working on my career. As well as my own songs, I want to start producing for other artists, so if you need some beats, holla at ya boy! lol!
