Hello Hello! I have recently been adopted by Oceans here in Minneapolis. I grew up in New Orleans, a great city with a huge variety of culture. I was exposed early on to various types of jazz, blues, and southern rock. I was trained on the greats like Glenn Miller, the Andrew Sisters, and Billie Holiday. Even at a young age music was a drug and outlet for me. I always say, "if you want to really know me, read my lyrics". I'm very passionate about music and I hope it shows when I perform. I started performing at age 9 and studied voice and theater in college. I did various off broadway productions such as Oklahoma, Little Shoppe of Horrors, and Cats. I worked with my own vocal group in New Orleans for many years, a 4 piece female vocal group, doing various styles of blues, folk, jazz and gospel and we were local staple. Kindred Spirits, the band was called, frequented many local hot spots such as Margaritaville, House of Blues, and Tipatina's. Now settled in Minneapolis, I feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon Oceans and truly look forward to working with such a wonderful group of talented musicians. I'm hoping that my roots will be a welcomed ingredient into this already delicious band. Time to spice up Minneapolis with a little creole seasoning! That is, if I don't freeze to death first!I am a pretty laid back, yet no BS, kind of girl. Please come up and introduce yourself at a show!
