Procure

Velvet sex & electric death at its finest!

About Me

In the summer of 2004, Josh Greaves, Nick Greaves, and Andrew Archer began to jam together in the basement. In October they went into the studio to record a song, but had no vocalist. They called up Joe Froias and on that day, he wrote the lyrics and sang what would become the very first Procure song. The band still needed a bass player. In January of 2005, Mike Lewis officially joined the band and Procure was born in New Bedford, MA. A month later, they recorded two new songs. They put out their first demo, 12 Gauge Oasis, in May. By July, they were performing shows locally. In August of 2006, they put out a much anticipated six song EP called The Triumph of it All. The new EP shows how eclectic their music has become. It ranges from rock anthems to sarcastic jazz and bone crushing hardcore. Some songs are stories of triumph and despair. Others are direct cries from an unappreciated generation, which begs for their voices to be heard. The Triumph of it All is definitely an early masterpiece for this young band. The music of Procure comes from all kinds of places and then forms a living being. They mix hard rock with punk, metal, jazz, and poetry to form a riveting underground sound which screams to be heard from every rooftop. The music displays absolute beauty and injects it with pure aggression. Their intense and energetic live shows leave people coming back for more. Since their formation, they have developed a loyal fan base which, along with the band and people associated with the band, makes up the Procure Movement. With the new EP and continued success of their live shows, Procure is showing no signs of slowing down and will continue their relentless pursuit of making great music.
