Her musical education started by private Clarinet and music theory tuition at the age of ten and upon moving to High School Joanne became a member of the renowned St Davids Choir and later the St Davids Band performing all over Europe.
Joanne received more opportunities to express her musical creativeness at High School and began Percussion, Drum-kit, Voice, Saxophone, Piano and Cello lessons under the tuition of Colin Fisher.
She went on to study Music, Media and Music Technology at Yale College excelling in composition. In her spare time Joanne would write as much music as possible aswell as performing in local brass and wind bands, several popular music groups and playing concerts regularly. She would also provide private music tuition teaching theory, drum-kit and guitar.
In 2006 Joanne got accepted into the Royal Welsh College of Music to study her Bachelors Degree in Music specializing in Creative Music Technology and Composition.
During the Summer of 2007 Joanne travelled to New York for three months where she taught Song writing, Composition, Contemporary music and Drum-Kit at a leading Performing Arts camp.
Joanne now specialises in Electro-acoustic music and music for Film and Television. She has worked closely with the Fantasie Saxophone Quartet, The Yorke String Quartet, RWCMD Symphony Orchestra and many upcoming solo instrumentalists.
Joanne has had original scores in several film festivals over the summers of 2008 and 2009. Her two most recent films premiered in Hollywood during November 2008 and London; March 2009. She currently has two US films with original soundtracks in post-production for release in late 2009.
With a forever growing list of achievements, Joanne is currently scoring for independent films worldwide, composing commissioned classical works and song/lyric writing.
