The band first got together when Kels, Fred and Thrasher worked for a construction company in Albuquerque, NM. Kels and Fred knew Thrasher played the guitar and also played for other bands back in the day. So they asked him if he wanted to come over and jam after work, so Thrasher came over and jammed for awhile, after a couple songs they knew they had a good thing going. After a couple weeks of playing together they recorded their instrumentals on a cassette tape. Now they needed some vocals, they thought of asking D.R.A because he wasn't with a band at the time but they knew he was the vocalist for other bands before. They gave him the cassette tape they recorded and asked of he would be interested in joining the band. After a couple days he came over to hear them play and liked what he heard so he joined the band. Then they started getting serious about making music and making a name for themselves.
