About Me
CALLAÇA, comes from a family of musicians and artists. He began singing at age 13 in a group of scenic choral singing in his hometown, Uberlândia-MG; Brazil ; and joined the faculty of Arts - UFU; alongside the music.
He lived in San Francisco CA, working with Brazilian music and North American, in homes as Bahia Cabana, Brazil and Puerto Sounds CA.
Singer, actor and dancer; Callaça worked with ballroom dancing, with the professional Jaime Arôxa in Rio de Janeiro - RJ, where he participated in a tour with 12 other Brazilian artists in one of the largest ocean liners of the world; Star Virgo (Star Cruises by Cia ), in a musical produced by directors from Spain, Australia and Brazil remaining 2 years working for the company and traveling around Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Thailand and India) and Australia.
Living in Rio de Janeiro; Callaça recorded backing vocals for many artists of national and international reputation as Alcione; Cidade Negra; Moraes Moreira; Xuxa e Ivete Sangalo.
In Rio de Janeiro, worked with voiceovers for Cias multinationals like Hebert Richards, recording among other films: CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.
He recorded three independent CD's, in projects in Brazil and abroad (London), with music by myself.
In São Paulo starred with actress Claudia Ohanna the musical Cleopatra, directed by Marcelo Sabbac; showing in Brigadeiro theater.
He participated in major Reality TV Shows in Brazil, seeking new talent in country music: FAMA Network Globe and recently BRAZILIAN IDOLS 2 SBT, in July 2008, remaining among the finalists of the program.
Now; CALLAÇA are doing new project of the E-MUSIC; with news songs and travelling for many places of the Latin America.
