Carlo "Cresta" nasce a Catania l'11 aprile del 1988. Già fin da piccolo comincia ad appassionarsi alla musica ascoltando i vecchi dischi della madre (tra cui Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Cliff, etc.). A sei anni riceve in regalo la sua prima batteria e comincia a prendere lezioni, apprendendo le basi del ritmo e del tempo. Viene poi spinto dal padre a prendere lezioni di pianoforte, che studierà per un lungo periodo, apprendendo le basi delle note e della melodia. Verso l'età di 14 anni comincia a suonare il basso ed un anno dopo con degli amici fonda il suo primo gruppo, i drunken bastardz, gruppo street punk che ai tempi riuscì a prendere un buon posto nella scena catanese, nonostante la giovane età dei componenti. Il periodo punk durerà fino al 2003-2004 quando Carlo comincia a scoprire il reggae e la dancehall e con l'allora compagno di classe Fausto fonda il Mighty Lion Sound nell'ottobre del 2003, in occasione di un festino tra amici. Da allora è stato un susseguirsi di scoperte e conquiste, riuscendo a comprare le prime apparecchiature e i primi 45 giri e scoprendo sempre di più sul mondo del reggae. Poco dopo entra nel sound anche Naddybwoy, un altro compagno di classe di Carlo. Parallelamente al sound viene portata avanti la produzione di brani musicali su basi giamaicane. Fausto ed Eduardo si dedicano a scrivere testi ed a cantarli mentre Carlo si concentra sulle nuove tecniche di registrazione, riuscendo a mettere su un piccolo studio di registrazione casalingo che gli permette di produrre i pezzi dei tre cantanti, Fausto Natty, Naddybwoy e CeRiot (un amico di Carlo da sempre che da poco ha cominciato a collaborare con la crew). His love of music began at a very young age, listening to his mother's ols LPs (among them were Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Cliff, etc.). He received his first drum kit when he was six years old and started taking lessions, learning the basics of rhythm and tempo. His father encouraged him to take piano lessions, which he took for a long time, learning the basics of notes and melody. When he was 14 he started playing the bass guitar and a year afterwards he set up his first band with some friends: "The Drunken Bastardz", a street punk band that got quite big on the Catania scene, despite the young age of its members. The punk period lasted until 2003-2004 when Carlo discovered reggae and dancehall and with his old classmate Fausto founded Mighty Lion Sound in october 2003. From then onwards it has been a succession of discoveries and achievements, managing to buy the first gear, the first 7" and discovering more and more about the reggae world. Not long after NaddyBwoy, another of Carlo's ex classmates, joined Mighty Lion. Along with the sound system another project is going on, the production of songs on jamaican instrumentals. While Fausto and Eduardo focus on writing songs and singing them, Carlo concentrates on the new recording tecniques, managing to set up a small home recording studio which allows him to produce the songs of the three singers: Fausto Natty, Naddybwoy and CeRiot (an old friend of Carlo's who recently started collaborating with the crew).
