Hooked from the age of 14 Asher developed an intimate and intense obsession with music... Acquiring turntables at 17, he was soon frantically collecting and tasting as much music as humanly possible. Taking influences from Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills, Leftfield & Pink Floyd to Laurent Garnier, Frank Zapper, Prodigy & Santana, the list runs on... A couple of years down the line Asher inevitably ended up in a recording studio and everything started making sense for him...
Now, having spent the last decade of his life producing electronic music in its ever changing guises, Asher is primarily recognised for his work with cohort Neil Barber as Rhythm Code. A project that has certainly had its fair share of success over the years with labels like Steve Angello's Size Records & Chris Lakes Rising Music, Noir, Gusto and Kickin Music to name but a few.
Rick Nicholls hails from a new generation, 5 years Asher's Junior, Rick immersed himself in music from childhood. No wonder then, at the age of 18 he was managing a record store and embarking on a 5 year residency at one of the UK's premier club nights, 2 Kinky. His DJing ability is second to none, quite comfortable playing alongside the likes of Pete Tong, Slam and Francois K and just as happy single handedly rocking a dirty house party...
Ricks obsessive musical passion quickly drove him into the studio where he has carved out his own truly unique production technique, releasing records under numerous pseudonyms over the past decade.
In 2007 Rick and Asher joined forces. Their debut single 'Mogadon' on Noir Music smashed into the top 100 on Beatport and gained support across the board from the likes of Digweed and Sasha to Deep Dish and Laurent Garnier. Not to be out done by their own work they followed up 'Mogadon' with their tech-house bomb 'Boogie Night' to devastating effect, again on Noir Music... Now the guys can be found working alongside the likes of Oliver Klien,Kevin Over, Adam Shaw, Flow & Zeo and Toni Rios on lables like Brazil's Tropical Beats and Kompact's Soap Records....
