Who Is Stevie Dream?

About Me

at lilac evening I walked with every muscle aching among the lights of 27th and Welton in the Denton coloured section wishing I were a negro, feeling that the best the white world had offered was not enough ecstacy for me, not enough life, joy, kicks, darkness, music, not enough night.

the story of man makes me sick. Inside, outside, I don't know why something so conditional and all talk should hurt me so. I am hurt. I am scared. I want to live. I want to die. I don't know where to turn in the Void and when to cut out.

I have my very own podcast, available on Myspace at the link below. You can also find us on Facebook.

Kiss Goodnight (lyrics)

How does this one sound? Not sure yet. Disjointed. Fluid. Morphine. Low. Downtuned. Bass. Snapshots of dream image. Final rambling ranting sounding like Jeffrey Lewis through a smokescreen, drowned in...

I Bruise Easily (lyrics)

Maybe not quite finished....All I want is to fall asleep on your shoulder,Let your arms keep me warm, 'cos I've never felt colder,I'm afraid of the morning, 'cos I'll leave these four walls,Sometimes ...

Labyrinth Man (lyrics)

Some lyrics I scribbled down at work today. The more I read them, the more they just seem like disjointed nonsense. There's meaning in there, though, and it's definitely about something, I'm just not ...

French Girls (lyrics)

Okay, new song time. It's essentially nonsense, with a couple of horrible lines, and a couple that mean something, but have no real bearing on the song itself. Stylistically, Leonard Cohen and Lee Haz...

Untitled? (lyrics)

Some new lyrics...nothing fancy, but it's the first I've written in a long time. The usual booze/loneliness fare, all a bit disjointed and everything, there was some imagery I tried to squeeze in ther...

Make A Man Of Me, Wendy (lyrics)

More lyrics for you. I suppose I took a slightly different approach with this one that I have done lately...much less free-form, much more trying to fit to some kind of structure, and much less refere...

Barfly (lyrics)

Alright...this is the first lot of lyrics I've written in a long time that doesn't explicitly reference anything and everything...it's nothing special, but I'm happy with it for now. Some of it might ...

Untitled (lyrics/poetry)

Just finished this one... it's long-winded, cliché-ridden, unstructured, and hideously (and blatantly) referential. No idea how I'd want it to sound or anything of that nature, except that it's a duet...
