About Me

Born in 1966 in the province of Córdoba (Argentina) and grew up in a musical family. At the age of 9 he started with a theoretical basis, namely on the saxophone, his first instrument.At the age of 17, after finishing his secondary school, he moved to the provincial capital, Córdoba, to enhance his musical career, because he was already making his living with his music. The bassoon became his second instrument next to the saxophone on the college of music of Córdoba.After some years, his musical development is broadened and complemented by performances with prominent musicians of the area on tour all over the country and records were reased in several countries in South América. Over a period of 7 years, the study of musical analysis and improvisation with diferent teachers and work-shops (Juan Carlos Ciallella, Hugo Pierre, etc.), participating in various important big-bands and jazz-orchestras, including the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Córdoba.In 1988 he became a saxophone teacher at a private music college (Collegium) until 1990, the year he decided to go to Europe to broaden his musical knowledge and to continue his professional development of his career.In Holland he decided to study at the Conservatorium in Rotterdam, determined to perfect the technique of saxophon playing, based on harmony and improvisation. After studying one year he decided to perform only and he played as freelancer in various groups, including renowned musicians as Angelo Verploegen, Nippy Noya, Eric Vloeimans, Mike del Ferro, Gerardo Rosales, etc.,touring through several European countries (Germany, Belgium, Austria, Luxemburg, Turkey, Switzerland).In all this time he contributed to various C.D. recordings with Latin-American and African music, the most important being, "Canto al Caribe" by Rumbatá, produced by Timeless Records. This group in which he plays the saxophon since his arrival in Europe performed in 1992 at the "North Sea Jazz Festival", being one of the most important jazz-festivals in the world.Since 1993 his most important aim is composing and arranging his own repertoire to form a jazz-fusion group which also uses influences of the Latinoamerican folklore.In 1995 he gave a musical contribution to the second C.D. of Rumbatá, this time produced by Challenge Records. In this same year his efforts were crowned with the production of "Something to Say", with the musical contribution of Leonardo Amuedo, Ishaq van Niel, Angelo Verploegen, José Lopretti and David Rothschild. This production, which is solely his own compositions, marks the beginning of his solocareer.Intercontinentale concerts:December 1996: "Feria de Cali", Colombia, the most important salsa-festival in the world.August 1997: "Tabarka Jazz Festival",Tunis (Africa).April 1999: "Baia Das Gatas Festival", Cabo Verde (Africa).His last year with Rumbatá.2001: European tour with the group "Marejada" from Cali, Colombia, dedicated to investigate the Afro-colombian folkmusic from the pasific coast.2002: Recording of the second solo album "Magic Corner" with Leonardo Amuedo, José Lopretti, Juán Pablo Dobal, Michael Simon, Praful, Jorge Martinez, etc.2003: European tour with "Rumbatá Big Band", recording of the C.D. "Rumbatá goes Colombia", release of the solo album "Magic corner" and preparation of the "International Tour 2004".
