The idea behind No Cheesy Party Bands is simple. The annoying, cheesy wedding band is something that people have been making fun of on TV and in movies for years (thanks Mr Sandler!). Still, when you want to hire a band for your wedding or party, what you'll mostly find are people that look like they stepped right out of a Saturday Night Live sketch. We simply want to help people find an awesome band that plays great, fun music.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
If you know a great band, tell them about us! There are tons of great bands don't have a slick website bragging about how many thousands of weddings they've done. They're just cool, reliable, down-to-earth people with great music and equipment. Just because they don't spend a lot of time promoting themselves to wedding planners, doesn't make them the best band for your event. You'd be surprised at how many great bands would jump at the chance to play a private party for cool people like you! They'll also work for a fraction of the price of a "professional" group who will possibly drive you insane. If you're in a coverband, tribute act or play classic blues, rockabilly, soul, jazz, mariachi, r&b or country, let us know!

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCH AN EXPERT?
Thanks for asking! It just so happens that for about 15 years, we've put together the greatest coverbands on earth under the name Cover Me Badd . The group has always changed their schtick every year or so but we've played many weddings and people always come up afterwards and told us that we were the only wedding band they'd ever liked! Our best wedding? It was probably when a famous rock photographer asked our singer's band, Rookie Card, to play his wedding that the worldfamous El Vez was officiating. The band was rechristened Rookie Ricardo for the occasion and we even backed Senor Vez on the Pulp Fiction twist classic "You Never Can Tell" by Chuck Berry.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Bands who love good music, are professional, would prefer to play "Brown Eyed Girl" no more than once a year, and can talk on a mic without people wanting to kill them. If you fit this description, we'd like to list you FOR FREE. If you're in a coverband, tribute act or play classic blues, rockabilly, soul, jazz, mariachi, r&b or country, let us know! Just add us as a friend and leave a comment on our page or any of our city blogs! Include your contact info, your top 5 personal favorite tunes and 5 popular songs you never get tired of playing.
