About Me

Wanda Mullens was born into a large southern family in Eastern Virginia. Being the middle child, in that family of seven, she learned early that attention was hard to come by. At the age of eleven, Wanda was given her first guitar. She began exploring the chords and vocals of all her favorite singers, demanding her parent’s attention. Beginning with a book of poetry and later a book of original songs she knew Music was always going to be the center of her universe. She began singing & performing gospel songs every Sunday at Liberty Baptist Church in Hopewell, Virginia.___________________________________________________ ________________________________________________Wanda is a proud mother of three strong boys. She raised them on a farm in West Virginia, where the sound of Appalachian music is alive. There is where she began to deeply explore songwriter and perfecting her art. Suddenly music had all her attention. Taking a promotion with her “day job” in October 2006, she found herself in Burleson, Texas. Finally, realizing this is where she is suppose to be, she joined the Fort Worth Songwriter’s Association and began to proudly sing her songs. Wanda Mullens has met some of the most exciting and invigorating songwriter in the world right here in Texas.______________________________________________________ _____________________________________________Wanda performed for Drury University in Missouri this passed November.
