Last Sunday, I was at 7-eleven getting my co-worker a diet coke. In walked an average Joe, and this happened.

"Excuse me, sir," he said abruptly.

"Who? Me?" I responded.

"Yes. Ummm . . . did you see the parade today?" he said hesitantly.

"No. I am sorry. I was working," as I turned away.

"Oh. It was so disappointing," he said insistently. "I waited all day for the Charro float, and there were so many Charro drag queens I couldn't see her at all!"

And then stormed off.
