"Money Mizz" was born on November 30th 1986. He was born in West Philadelphia and was raised there until he was 12yrs old. He than later moved to Southwest Philadelphia, where he stayed with Aunt and His two cousins. With his mother taking care of his younger brother and sister he had to fend for himself. Mizz actually started rapping in day camp at the early age of 8. Even though he impressed all of the other kids, he really didnt take rap serious. Not until he got to John Bartram High school. When Mizz arrived he notice everyone was a rapper. He also noticed that almost everyone had a similar sound to them. At that time everyone tried to sound like Cassidy. So he dared to to try something different, something he knew Cassidy wouldn't never do. He took Fabolous song "Baby" cut out Fab's second verse and added his own. He brought the song into school and generated a "buzz" The fellas liked his slick word play and the ladies enjoyed how smooth he sounded to Fab's hit single, some thought it was the Official Remix. Mizz learned early that being able to give a "Hot 16" is good, but it makes the track great with a "Hot Hook" following it. So instead of rapping through out the whole beat, he breaks his verses up with a chorus to make it a constructive song. Producers love to work with him, some say he brings their sounds to life by "connecting" with the beat. It seems as if his voice and the beat were designed for each other. Money Mizz who call himself the "Southwest Hero" says he not here to step on anybody toes, he just here to bring a new sound to Philly, something different to the table. Money Mizz has performed all around the city, he has performed at The American Motor inn on City Line ave, The Golden Coast on 49th and Lancaster and various other open mic’s.!!!
