Pyramid Transmissions is a London-based label which was founded in 2000 by Andy Jaggers (ADJ) and John Cranmer (Pathic). The two DJ/ Producers first became acquainted through IQ Records - a small Soho record shop where Andy worked. During the late '90s IQ established itself as a Mecca for DJs inspired by the soulful electronic sounds committed to wax by artists such as Plaid, John Tejada, Soul Oddity, Larry Heard and Carl Finlow. Following the abrupt demise of IQ in 1999, Andy set up his own record store, simply called Pyramid. Having cemented their friendship on an American tour the previous year, John and Andy started gigging together and soon began collaborating on tracks - The next logical progression was to create a record label as an outlet for these productions, which they duly did the following year with the release of the very first Pyramid Transmissions EP. Since then, the duo have put out numerous releases , both on vinyl and as downloads, spanning the breadth of electro and electronica with a little help from artists such as Lone Shark, Psi Spy, Phase Mojo, Doctor Evil and Ossacip.
