Big Dick Boyfriend started out as Revv Engine, a heavy hitting, retro rock band based in Ottawa, Ontario. The girls in this close knit unit are exciting and excited, fun and a great party. The band consisted of Chrissy Gordon (Vocals/ Guitar), Jennifer Shinnan (Lead Guitar), Janice Fitzsimmons (Bass/Vocals) and Danae Tsikouras on drums.Janice and Chrissy met in spring 2005 and began to put together an all girl rock quartet, and set out to find members.Chris had seen a band called Sedrick, and they had a girl lead guitar player who impressed her, (their whole band rocks too). So she emailed them to see if there was any interest. There was.Next, we needed a drummer. That took a little longer. Jan emailed one of her old clients and it turned out that she was available. Danae joined in August/2005. Revv Engine was formed and getting ready for their first performance. Later on things changed and Tom Black took over the job of drummer.Well, Revv Engine was formally disbanded and are down to three members, but Jen, Jan and I(Chrissy) are still working together and have a new female drummer Mary Gellner who is with us for the time being. We will be an all original metal style ranges from Zeppelin to Pantera.
