ISA has been there all the way, since it started. With white gloves a ghettoblaster, and those stupid mobile floors. Later he became one of those shadows, in the night with a bag, spraycans and a hoodie.
It was also this man who started V.O.C crew, all the way back in 1989-90, which became, possibly one of the biggest growing crews ever seen in Denmark. With members from all over the country.
ISA is born and raised in South Central Copenhagen "Amar" In the first ghetto project, established in DK, called "URBAN PLAN" and he went to the youth clubs "Sundby Algaard" "Club 47" "Stjernen" and the infamous town Christiania "Staden". The same places, as lots of the pioneers in Danish rap and HipHop. For example "R.B.C" (Rockers By Choice) also took there first steps, along with a large number of other key players in the community. ISA attended together with these people at numerous parties, and other events, long before they broke through. R.B.C also became one of the first inspirators and motivators in ISA..s young life. But its a fact that these youth clubs, along with the "URBAN PLAN" Christiania, and offcourse "P Hejle" is considered the cradle of Danish rap and HipHop.
ISA left his crib when he was only fourteen years old, and landed in what you have to define as a rough environment, among the wrong sides decibels.
Not long after, ISA started his first business "V.O.C Club", which undeniably where one of the first of its kind, and trust me when i say, that a lot of things went up in smoke, around this club. Also he established V.O.C crew, and both projects became huge successes. Through this he achieved, the possibility to provide for him self, plus a good handful of homeboys and girls.
ISA also drew so much attention to him self, because of his 2 very different sides. On one hand, there was his social commitment in his neighbourhood, by establishing HipHop events, gathering accept, and resources for graffiti projects, decorating end walls in the area. Renovating soccer courts, and got free workout passes for the local gyms, to all the young people in his neighbourhood, among many other things, in an age of just 16. Projects that today has developed into large integration machines, with, music production, TV channel, graffiti events, etc. On the other hand, there was his more darker side, living a shady life, selling everything from mobile phones to russia, drugs, cars, scooters, kitchen and living room hardware, to Bayliners, in an age of just 17. And he almost maneged to stay out of jail...
So much attention, that the "DR" (Danish national television No.1) came and knocked on his door, wishing to make a documentary about him, and his life in the ghetto. He also appeared in a "BBC" production about ghettos in Denmark.
By the time he was 18 years of age, Allah entered his life, while he was at the peak of his game, with lots of money, girls hanging all over him, business, and "friends" in large numbers. He became a much more serious character, and changed from a life in the fast lane, and what goes along with it, into what you have to call a some what different path. Today hes a is married to his childhood love, Medina, who he has been with for almost 14 years now, and who has born his 4 beautyfull kids. Two people who has been inseparable, right from day one. So to top it of, we can conclude, that this a man who has been in the game for a long time, and knows all the sides, and flipsides, to this culture, and has lots to contribute, and theres no doubt, that hes gonna' be an influencal player in the future. but lets see if time wont tell the story...The next chapter in ISA..s life is all about completing his album"URBAN PLAN" and building the"V.O.C'" domicile. So dont touch that dial, for the next episode is about to begin…
