About Me

I imagine that your eye was drawn to my profile, as if by some futuristic eye magnet. Now, let’s get down to business.
On a lonely planet, spinning its way to damnation, amid the fear and despair of a broken human race, who is left to fight for all that is good and pure, and just? Eddie Jacobs is the name. He wields unimaginable power. He uses it both creatively and destructively. It is prophecised that one day, a chosen one will be born who will defeat him, but until then, his powers grow daily.
Both you and I know you're not going to get a fair impression of me by reading a MySpace profile, if you're curious, message me. I won't bite.
My life is spent in service to my two patron gods. By day I live for Apollo, and he brings me analytic distinction, individuation from the world. I am indebtted to him for order, clarity, reason, restraint, science, system, and compulsion. Sun, Lightness, and Poetry.
Dionysus dissolves me back to the Will; allows me to enjoy chaos, intoxication, passion, excess, art, spontaneity and impulse. Wine, Ecstasy, and Drunkenness.
I spill libations to them in equal measure, and they represent equally legitimate sides of me.
I'll laugh at people that try to prove their maturity by drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, then lie, and say they drank even more. But that doesn't mean I won't do the same.
Heinlein was right. Specialization is for insects.
I'm a good team player.
Unless the team is called Team Jackal. Then I'm a great team player.
I can't stand that everyone has negative connotations with the word discipline. He who cannot obey himself will be commanded.

Don't tell me you're random, or crazy. I abhorr those words, and usually, the people that label themselves as such. I'll decide that for myself, thanks.
A Cross Section of Eddie:
Good and Evil are objective . To that end, moral subjectivists disgust me. God exists, but he sure didn't die on a Cross for you. Time is finite. It's not inifinitely divisible. Colour is an experience, not a measurement. The only possible a posteriori knowledge is belief correctly justified by causal relations in the world. Abortion is wrong. The only thing right about how this country is run is our appointed second house. If you think the House of Lords should be elected, you're an idiot. The only promise I make is to give you your due. "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." (J.S. Mill)

Got a problem with any of them? Tell me :)
I can't be bothered to write up two blogs. Read me write about nothing with varying degrees of success, here . Some say it's ok. Decide for yourself. That ended when my will to write did. Sexual favours will be given at the individual BionicEddie's discretion.
I'm a man of synthesis, not genesis. I haven't had an original thought since June 2006.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People that won't mind that sometimes I will talk through an owl hand puppet, speak in haiku for the duration of a day, or insist on tying a luggage tag with a picture of a tearfully happy child to them.

People that sometimes talk through owl hand puppets, speak in haiku for a day, or insist upon tying a luggage tag with a picture of a tearfully happy child to me.

Someone who can end my boredom
Anyone I can hold an intersting conversation with
Someone who kills people and drinks their blood for sustenance.

A person who likes the bounty, topic, snickers, and mars bars, so that we can share a tub of celebrations. Alternatively, someone with a convincing enough argument to make me want to have those instead of the good chocolates.
