BIOGRAPHY
J.O. was born in 1970, he began playing the violin and studying music at the age of five in Nice (French Riviera). He graduated with honours from the Classical Academy in Lyon and later obtained a gold medal award for his achievements at the Music Conservatory in Annecy (Rhône-Alpes). Jérôme went on to further his studies (bachelor of Jazz) in Switzerland at the Berne Jazz Academy (Swiss jazz school).
A professional musician since the early 90’s, he performed as a soloist/sideman (vocal / violin / Piano) at many prestigeous music festivals throughout Western Europe :
The Montreux Jazz Festival, The Paleo Festival in Nyon & The Vienna Jazz Festival to name a few.
Always keen and open minded towards new musical experiments, he has recorded and performed various styles of music such as Tango Nuevo, Electro, Traditional, Ethnic, World Music, Progressive Rock and more. When he’s not teaching Master Classes in Geneva at the ETM Professional Music School, he’s an avid composer and producer for theatre, comedy, cinema and television productions.
Last but not least, Jerome's also acting as comedian, clown and professional speaker.
