About Me

Phase One: DO DOWNTOWNTo understand DO DOWNTOWN you must first recognize what the problems with Downtown Shreveport’s Entertainment District are.1) Lack Of Management – Just like any business, there must be someone responsible for taking care of the day to day operations. Currently these duties are not being taken care of. 2) Scheduling Of Events – There is no one person attempting to schedule events that promote fun, safe entertainment for “LOCAL” interest outside pre-existing businesses. 3) Lack of “GOOD PRESS” – It is a misconception that Downtown Shreveport’s Entertainment District is not safe, due to BAD PRESSNow how do we fix this?By appointing someone that is not a part of the already broken system to manage the Downtown Shreveport Entertainment District & make its success a priority. This person will not only manage the Entertainment District, but also handle the nightly operations of the District. This includes security, events, maintenance, & public relationsA full PR campaign to attract local patrons with a string of fun, safe adult oriented and family oriented events using the press as tool of reconstruction instead of a tool of destruction. This includes radio, television, & print advertising that will change the local publics’ opinion of Downtown Shreveport’s Entertainment DistrictWorking with pre-existing business’s to coordinate a unified business front that will represent ONE DISTRICT instead of a bunch of individual competitors in Downtown ShreveportAttract a title sponsor for Downtown’s Entertainment District whose funds will help pay for not only upkeep, but entertainment and advertising that will help complete Phases 2 and 3 of this campaign. This is a brief overview of Phase 1 of my campaign to fix Downtown Shreveport. All other will details including Phase 2, Phase 3, Promotional Concepts & Ideas, and List of Potential Sponsors who have expressed interest in Downtown Shreveport’s Entertainment District will be presented in person upon meeting with the Mayors office.
