SHUNGAI

About Me

SHUNGAI is a musical project conceived by Adelaide based musician, LA Edge.
A veteran of the Broken Hill music scene, LA Edge has performed in a variety of local acts such as the thrash metal inspired Plague 9, the horror theme shock metal band Breed of Dawn, popular glam rockers The Sex, and punk rock band The Jekylls.
Shunghai is his latest endeavor, and strives to represent his wide range of influences as well as his interest in all things dark and different.
LA Edge is currently writing and recording home demo's, and searching for potential band members to truly bring SHUNGAI to life.
LA Edge is joined by longtime music collaborator Davey Damaged, of popular Adelaide sleaze metal band Diamond Sins, on backing guitar.
Both are looking forward to completing the band and bringing the dark music of SHUNGAI to a venue near you.
In the meantime, why dont you get your doom on, and check out the demo tracks :)
All demos are recorded on Adobe Audition, incorporating a mixture of live guitar tracks and midi beats. This will change in time as the band develops.
Keep an eye on this space...
