His-Story Biography
This is a tale of two families who are respected and recognized for their undeniable talents, and by joining forces; they create an unstoppable entertainment powerhouse. Both advocates of Gawad Kalinga, Allstars and Q-York were introduced to each other in a Los Angeles hotel room. Both fans of each other’s work, it was magic from the second they met. Only a few days after their first meeting they collaborated in the studio to work on some music together. From that session came the hit single “Caught Up†which has already hit 7 on Philippine radio stations with no major marketing or promotional campaign. The rest as they would say is “His-Storyâ€â€¦
The Allstars and Q-York are two names that have helped pave the way for Filipinos in Hip-Hop. The songs they have completed so far and the soon-to-be album they will release embodies the true Filipino spirit within Hip-hop. They possess the ability to begin breaking down the boundaries of social class, racial, and old-fashioned negative Filipino stereotypes.
