part TWOAs a young person, I never have too little to do . On the contrary, I find that I have too little time to accomplish what I set out to do each day. It is true that there are young people who have plenty of time on their hands. An idle mind is indeed the devils workshop . These people often loiter around & some turn to vandalism they destroy benches in parks, break public telephones, scratch cars in parking lots, draw graffiti on newly-painted walls & not forgetting, 'rempit'ing on the the road . They vandalise out of boredom, restlessness or because of their destructive nature. I often wish I had more than 24 hours a day , especially when teachers give too much homework & when the examination are dangerously near. On top of that, there are tuition classes to attend & extracurricular activities, too. When I'm busy, I sometimes envy young who have too little to do . For them, there are no deadlines to meet & so they lead a stress free life. I remember these lines by WH Davies: 'What is this life if full of care, we have no time to stand & stare' . More often than not, I'm so bogged down with homework & schoolwork that I neglect my family & hobbies. My mother comments that I spend too much time in my room. She hardly sees me accept during mealtimes. I tell her that I cannot help it, as preparing for an examination is no laughing matter . I want to do well in my studies so that she can be proud of me. However, there are times when I get burnt-out & adopt a perfunctory attitude. I would take my motorbike & ride aimlessly around town or I would hang out with friends at shopping complexes. I would then return refreshed & energized to tackle my assignments again until studies stress me out. Having too little to do is not all that bad. Isaac Newton had nothing to do & was resting under a tree when an apple dropped on his head & he discovered gravity. We may be physically idle but our minds may latently creative . Wordsworth was just taking a walk in the countryside when he saw masses of daffodils which later inspired him to write the now famous poem, 'The Daffodils'. I wish I could complain that I have too little to do . But I know its just wishful thinking . When I have finished writing this, there are at least a dozen things waiting for me to accomplish.
