Ninja kick the damn rabbit!

About Me

I was born in a poor Italian fishing village, the bastard lovechild of a torrid affair that should have never been. My father was a lab rat to some of Venice's seediest experiments. My mother, a scientist driven mad by her her own self-tested cerebral dampeners. I came to America on a rowboat in Aught-nine. Then I worked my way across the country as part of Barnum & Bailey's Fantastigmastic Festival of Fools, Fouls, and Frogs. (I had this whole act in which I dressed as the dreaded Moroccan Giant Bullfrog. I can still do the 'ribbit'.) Then in the 1980s those Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles came about and gave frogs a bad name. I couldn't walk three feet down any road in New England without a group of kids shouting, "Go back to Florida, Napoleon Bonafrog!" whilst throwing tomatoes and cabbage and bricks at me. I still owe those Eastman and Laird bastards a good thumbing-of-the-nose for the mental anguish their careless portrayal of frogs has put me through.
Now I am living out my post-circus frog days in Louisiana where no one knows about the exploits of my spotty past. I've made friends here. There's a bear named Roy whom I have brunch with every Sunday. I've tried to go in for a bit of what these Southern folk call "the book larnin'" with mixed results but continue to dabble in the world of erudition. It helps the time pass.
And it helps me forget about those damnable chants of "Napoleon Bonafrog, want to beat him with a log, tie him up just like a hog, and crush him flatter than a Pog."
Oh, dear.... I've just reminded myself.....
Barnum & Bailey, give me strength.

I write. Alot. And it takes me forever to write anything so take that 'alot' and multiply it by like.... 'forever'.... so I write falorevert.... Yeh, that's a good way to describe it. I heart movies. And, while I don't read many, I love comics. Toys too.... Wow. I am completely undatable. Oh well... width="425" height="350" ..

My Interests

Movies. Comics. Toys. People despite my social inapticity. Didn't we just cover this? And telling stories. That's my thing.

I'd like to meet:

Robert Rodriguez.... So I could borrow a bit of his cheaper equipment and go shoot my ridiculously long road movie..... Or was this supposed to be a more generalized category?.... People. There, that's pretty generalized.

Music:

Stuff that sounds good. I hate this question. I like music that makes me feel something outside of boredom or rage. If it makes me laugh, smile, or cry.... I probably dig it.

Movies:

Whoa Nelly. Don't get me started. Believe you me!Currently love Serenity. It makes me feel kinda shiny. As goes with music, if it makes me laugh, smile, or cry, I probably dig it.Some favorites include: Serenity, Batman Begins, Chasing Amy, Singin' in the Rain, Ed Wood, Candyman, Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Star Wars (Original Trilogy and Half-Ass, er I mean, Prequel Trilogy.... kinda), Spider-Man 1 and 2, X-Men 1 and 2, Love Actually, It's a Wonderful Life, Hollywoodland, V For Vendetta, Superman Returns, Stay, Stranger Than Fiction, Happy Feet

Television:

Look Marge, you don't know what it's like - I'm the one out there every day putting his ass on the line. And I'm not out of order. You're out of order. The whole freakin' system is out of order. You want the truth? You want the truth? You can't HANDLE the truth. 'Cause when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do. Forget it, Marge, it's Chinatown!Firefly, Simpsons, Batman Animated, Justice League Unlimited, Various Superman Series, Freaks and Geeks, Family Guy, Red Dwarf, Futurama, Greg the Bunny, Buffy, Angel

Heroes:

Robert Rodriguez is my personal hero at the moment.... Once again showing a difference between 'favorite' and 'best', he is my favorite filmmaker but I do understand that he's not the best director or writer out there. But he has inspired me more than anyone and has made me feel like the whole filmmaking career thingy isn't as far-fetched a dream as I once thought. The inner-idealist in me also really admires his strong attachment to family. I love that he can go from something like Sin City to Spy Kids and is proud of both.
