Hypertension

About Me

Hypertension was formed in the summer of 2007 by good friends in the Virginia music circle. Keith Earth and Beats Ugh Lee had been playing together for years under the Vanilla Pesto moniker and The Stranger and Beats had played together in The Castle for a year or so. After The Castle disbanded in 2006, The Stranger joined forces with Vanilla Pesto to form Hypertension. This cool new sound is acomplished by focusing on acoustic guitar, while delivering an intense rock show simultaneously. With a combination of unique originals and a slew of creative crowd pleasing cover choices, we entertain with a unique setlist at each and every performance. Hypertension has been building a growing attendance rate at its frequent gigs throughout Virginia, and will hopefully be covering even more ground in the following year. Our new album "Something About Tommorrow" is now available at all performances, Plan 9 Record stores in Williamsburg, Richmond, and Charlottesville, VA...and will soon be available online. We are now booking many new shows, and if you are interested in booking us for yr club, private event, or whatever it is...just send us a message and we'll work it out. We will be hitting up a lot of different towns and cities throughout the future, so be sure to look out for new show announcements soon. Stay Tuned!!!
