Fade Fast Laser Tattoo Removal

About Me

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Unlike other laser technicians, Allen Falkner is not only heavily tattooed and has undergone numerous removal sessions; he also owned and operated a tattoo/piercing studio for fifteen years. This experience combined with close ties to some of the best artists in the industry gives clients endless possibilities to remove, modify or completely change their existing tattoos. Our goal is to give people the results they thought were too difficult to attain, with less discomfort and fewer treatments.
THE LASER
There are many different types of lasers on the market. All have their pros and cons. The machine used by Fade Fast is the Palomar Q-YAG-5, which is specifically designed for ink removal and pigment reduction. Yes, other machines can and will remove tattoos. However, unlike other types of medical lasers, a Q-switched YAG fires in nanoseconds allowing the beam to fracture the ink while minimizing thermal damage to surrounding tissue. Plus, this laser has the ability to blend wavelengths, a feature that allows for treatment of colors across the spectrum.
SKIN CHILLING
A Zimmer Cryo-5 is used during the procedure to cool the skin to -22 degrees F (-30C). This in conjunction with pre-icing of the area dramatically reduces the pain and discomfort that people often report when not having the skin chilled. Historically, tattoo removal has required anesthetic. However, with a balanced system of the two machines, topical anesthetic really isn't necessary. If you feel the need, an over the counter topical can be applied or our medical director can prescribe something stronger.
OUR COMMITMENT
"The nine progressively lightening rectangles are more than the Fade Fast logo. They were tattooed solid black on my inner arm. The first bar was not treated, the second has been treated once, the third treated twice and so on. I wanted a physical example of how the process works. Plus, how better to earn my client's trust than to perform laser removal on myself first and show my commitment to the trade." ~Allen Falkner
