About Me

How I made my profile:
As a starting note, these songs are all Work In Progress!Mop Theatre Music started around 7yrs ago in a dusty old shrewsbury town between 4 guys that loved the old industrial/electronic/D'n'B scenes. For 3yrs everything was tickedy boo-ish, until the fateful day that the computer died and took everything with it. So we disbanded pretty much, and I kept on the name going with some oki-ish solo electronic/static noise assaults, but nothing really substantial. Now to work in line with a forth coming graphic novel series i've written called 'tales of the nevercity' i'm going to use mop theatre music to set the atmospheric tones of the city scape. There will be as many instrumentals as there are lyrical songs, but they will all work together to set the scene. The aim of the songs by the time of completion is to give a feeling of a city set in the far future, of almost blade runner qualities, mixed with influences from great authors such as China Meiville and Clive Barker, to artists such as Giger and Mark Rydan to Groups like Skinny Puppy and Combichrist. The Lists of influences could be endless, as we are all influenced by what is around us, and this is just my way of setting my own scenes.I'm aiming to make the new debut album around 10-12 tracks of noise-scape electronica/industrial. Currently the working title is 'tales of the nevercity... part 1'Hope you will enjoyAll the bestLucius Andromidus 05/11/07

Band Members: Lucius Andromidus - Samps, Keys, Vox, Beats (at current, in talks with/for additional members at the minute)
Influences: Disney, My Little Pony, Rainbow Bright, The Care Bears, The Gummi Bears (although disney yes), Telebots, A blender, Guitar Distortion Pedals used on Vocals (and everything else!), The seriously cringe worthy scene from Braindead involving custard, Scrabbled Eggs, Skinny Puppy, Alien Sex Fiend, Combichrist, BiLE, Girls Aloud, Discovering how boring cities of gold really was!, Realising that the Zeldas sister from terrahawks is still scary and oddly looks like one of my relatives!, The Fact i still oddly find Commander Akara(?) from Star Fleet attractive despite her having a talking demon for an eye!, Laughing at Ricki Gervais calling people in wheelchairs in general 'Wheelie Folk', clean socks after a night out on the piss and staying in crappy hotels or not sleeping at all - quite often in London, My Friends, Drawing stupid cartoons ranging from Space Mice/Moon Cats drowning on Urine/Trains coming out of pigs bums, boots that i can make last longer than 6 months, Negativland (because christianity is a bit stupid really), Skunk Ananse, Garbage, Devo, And all those other bands, things, pieces of paper, silly cartoons and things i'll only remember when people prompt me! ... OOOoooh and all art and nature everywhere, with the only acception of Tracy Emin and her ilk... I thought professional art was generally possesing skills that people would find hard to match, but more importantly actually fine the finish product inspiring, and not make you think 'i could have done that' or 'i made better casts than that when i was at school, and i had to use my eyelashes to pick up the moulds... crap.
Sounds Like: A concept of a City in an alternative dimension, and currently early spectrum/commadore/amstrad/sega games... (sega boy sorry, so i deny nintendo any influence from childhood!)
