Shelley moved to Nashville from Tampa to be in the heart of the country music that she loves. After growing up in Huntington, West Virginia, Shelley attended Marshall (Thundering Herd) University as a theater major before transferring and graduating from Hofstra University (Long Island) with a teaching degree. She taught elementary school for 8 years, then became a "stay at home Mom" to raise her two beautiful children. She began writing songs a few years ago, found SongU.com, friends and cowriters and is loving every minute of her journey. Shelley says, "I hope I can continue to dream and grow in the ways God has planned for me because "Life’s Too Short" to not do what you love!!!"
