About Me

I was born in Sherburn, Minnesota, 1990. My brother Tuxedo was the first born and I am the youngest. I picked out my human early on...she has been with me since the day I was born and delighted in everything I did. She told me that me, my brothers, and sister were the prettiest litter of baby kitties she had ever seen. She used to let me jump from the banister onto her shoulders and I got to sit there until she had to go home. After I got too big to fit on her shoulder, she still let me sit there but I couldn't stay all day. My human graduated from some boring place called High school and found her very own place to live. I told her she needed a cat to make sure things are done right, and volunteered for the job. I promised her that I would help keep her in style by covering her clothes with cat fur (too bad they can't grow their own fur...such strange creatures they are!) and I promised I would make sure the blankets didn't float way while she made the bed. She promised I would never have to go hungry or cold and she promised I would never have to know what the inside of Doggy Jail looks like. When she showed me the new place, I instantly loved it! There were so many new things to sniff and corners to explore...best of all, I had my very own food and water dishes that I didn't have to share with dogs. You have no idea how disgusting it is to have to drink the same water a dog drooled in. Everything was great until my human went to bed. I realized how lonely it was without my brothers and sister so I cried and cried. The next day, she told me she had a surprise for me and opened our front door. There was my brother Tux! I was so happy to see him! It turns out that two of my brothers and my sister adopted humans too so Tux had nobody to play with at home. I told my human it sure would be nice if she asked Tux to come live with us, that way nobody would be lonely. That was the only night Tux and I ever spent apart unless I had to spend the night at that aweful place where the humans stick things in places I don't want to talk about. Tux was my best friend as well as my brother. We never had a spat and never once hissed at each other. My brother got sick with something called Chronic Renal Failure or CRF. He got very skinny and didn't like to eat much. My humans worked very hard to keep him here with us. On July 31, 2006, Mommy came home crying and told me Tuxedo had to go to kitty heaven to get better. Mommy says I'll be seeing Tux soon because now I have CRF. My human Mommy and Daddy are working very hard to keep me here, just like they did for my brother. Sometimes I catch my human looking at pictures of us and crying. I remind her that I am here today, which makes her smile and gives me a hug.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

This site has helped my humans out greatly when first my brother got sick and now me. If you have an older cat, it is very important that they get regular checkups. Specifically ask your vet to make sure they check for chronic renal failure. Most cats don't show signs until 70% of their kidney function is lost. CRF is not curable, but it can be managed.
