Goodbye Lenin

About Me

Goodbye Lenin formed in Edinburgh towards the end of 2007 and have been building up a growing fanbase ever since, counting a certain Ed O'Brien from Radiohead as one of the many fans to have turned up to see them play in the last year.

Half Scottish and a quarter English and Canadian, they utilise big guitar riffs, fuzzy bass, boy/girl harmonies and a smattering of feedback to achieve their unique live sound.

Musically taking their cues from the Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead and Arcade Fire, lyrically they focus on the sublime and cataclysmic: love, death, socialism, financial meltdown, atomic warfare and eco-catastrophe. The revolution starts here.
They are named after a film that Frankie has still never seen.
Frankie Lowe and Jon Lo are not related.
Jon and John are not related.
It's just John that likes Status Quo...
