Sounds Like: Mahood’s music does not fit easily into the standard musical categories. You will be reminded of free jazz one minute and funk or reggae the next – sometimes performances have the feel of a sound art event, yet others have moments of industrial or rave style mayhem. It is completely improvised and is created by Walt and Graham using a wide range of largely analogue based instrumentation, original constructed percussion devices and other unusual sound sources. Mahood have collaborated on several occasions with musicians from Birmingham and London, including several gigs with their friend and legendary saxophonist Lol Coxhill
