Eduardo Arenas songwriter, producer & bassplayer. In Colombia I attended the UNAB where I could study new subjects such as music theory, harmony, history, counterpoint, electric bass (which is my personal music instrument) and classical composition with Blas Emilio Atehortua who was a famous composers’ student of Aaron Copland, Alberto Ginastera, and Olivier Messiaen. This experience helped me to adapt the classical philosophy to my own composing.

Mixing traditional and modern sounds in a subtle and balanced way is my objective to express myself and enjoy life. I also collaborated as a songwriter with “el Cuarto” band, a Latin-rock group in which I could experience this new music style. Indeed, my intellectual curiosity of music brought me to meet people like Sergio Mendez “Greco”, a Singer with whom I could mix Colombian music, pop music and rock all together.

Then, I travelled to Spain. Once there, I developed a strong interest in the audio software. I knew how important this specific area was to help me improve myself not only as a music player but also as a songwriter. In that time, my career took its original shape. Actually, I started studying the audio production field with the SGAE association of Madrid and Zaragoza with the special collaboration of prestigious teachers like Coco Fernandez, Martin Rasskin y Paco Trinidad.

In Spain, I had the chance to discover new typical music styles such as the Flamenco, la Jota and other music influences that gave me new ideas to mix different sounds. Later, I collaborated as a singer in the los amantes de Teruel album written by the poet Angel Petisme and songwriter Gabriel Sopeña, under the executive production of David Civera.

Eduardo Arenas, compositor, productor y bajista nace en Bucaramanga- Colombia el 3 de noviembre de 1980. Allí forma parte de grandes bandas, entre las que sobresale "El cuarto" grupo con el que actuo en varios festivales y tuvo destacado éxito en la radio nacional.

Realiza su carrera universitaria de musica en la UNAB donde se especializa en bajo electrico y toma asignaturas como composicion con Blas Emilio Atehortua alumno de Aaron Copland, Alberto Ginastera, Olivier Messiaen, etc..

En el año 2003 viaja a España. En Madrid comienza sus estudios de Producción Musical y Audio Digital con profesores como Martin Rasskin productor de Rossana y Paco Trinidad de los Hombres G, entre otros.

En Zaragoza empieza a colaborar como bajista y productor con musicos como Guillermo Marin, Baskerville y Charter.

Bajo la producción ejecutiva de David Civera colabora en el disco "Los amantes de Teruel" con productores y músicos como Sergi Fecé de Loquillo, Angel Petisme y Gabriel Sopeña.

En Barcelona, continúa sus estudios de bajo eléctrico, composición y producción en el Taller de Musics. Como bajista ha compartido escenario con artistas como Graham Foster (Etta James, Elton John) ,Guillermo Marín con quien participó en el Meditic Festival, Baskerville y Charter.
