Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil Renato first started playing acoustic Guitar at age of 8 , switched to Bass as teenager when he formed his first band with his brother and a friend . Since then he has developed a very unique style being very versatile ,playing and recording with all kinds of different bands, in the 80's recorded 2 albums with Kafka one of the most important bands in the SP indie scene of the time also was part of a Reggae band(Utropicos),Blues (Calibre 12),Rock (Abraham and the Lincolns) besides colaborations in various other projects. Moved to the US living there for ten years ('97/'07) where he played a lot of Brazilian music as samba,bossa and forro and also was a side man for american artists like Myla Hardie (NYC),Ricky Eric and Joe Wheeler(Miami).Back in the homeland after the hiatus he's already taking part of the SP's music scene playing his very solid, deep Bass all around the city!
