I am here for Friends

About Me

Happily married with three great kids, all boys - ages 16, 13, and 6. Published poet (finally!) actively pursuing additional publications. Owned by three cats, Sophie Grace, Luna Eve, and Isobelle, who rule one patient dog, Brynna. Anything else you need to know, I guess you'd better ask.

My Interests

I write, I submit to publishers, I wait for responses. That's it. Well, sort of. There is life beyond publication, after all.

I'd like to meet:

An editor who wants to publish an entire collection of my work! ;) Lisa, Susan G., Susan C., Maria, Carolyn, so many great friendships kept alive through words on a screen. One day I'd love to share our stories in person!P.S. JESS IS COMING MAY 8TH FROM AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!!!!! *squeeeee*

Music:

Movies:

Stay, The Crow, City of Angels, Memento, The Machinist, The Jacket ... lean towards drama and intrigue and away from comedy - unless it's dark satire or sarcasm.

Television:

Heroes, Bones, House, Eli Stone, Without a Trace, Torchwood, Jericho, Robinhood, Lost ... my Tivo is always full.

Books:

All of Stephen King and Dean Koontz. Several favorite poetry collections, especially Sylvia Plath, Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Merrit Malloy and more. For the most part, give me anything with a spark of creativity and I'll find myself lost in it.

Heroes:

My grandfather, who still visits my dreams. My husband, Joe. You truly saved my life.My best friend, Michele and her husband, my other best friend, Tim. 27 years and going strong; you're still the only ones I'd co-drive a manual transmission with!Jess, my muse, my editor, my biggest fan. You gave me the faith in myself to step outside of my boundaries and take a chance. (Not to mention the Poets Market 2006!)

My Blog

Which publishers have been blind enough to accept my work?

Although I'd like to curse the technical issues of MySpace with many horrible, un-ladylike words at the moment, I will restrain myself.  You see, I just typed an entire blog, only to have it myst...
