About Me

I graduated high school from Denver School of the Arts with a major in Creative Writing, and am now a student at Colorado State University studying history with a minor in cultural anthropology. I'm a tribal-style belly dancer and am a part of the Bohemian Caravan troupe up here in Fort Collins, and I am thoroughly addicted. I'm a geek and work at the Colorado Renaissance Festival in the summers, I'm a sucker for corny and ridiculous sci-fi and fantasy movies, and I'm not afraid to be obnoxious and (probably) tactless in public places because life's too short to pass up opportunities for inappropriate comments! If you want to know about me, ask me.
What Mythical Creature are you? Your Result: Siren

Beautiful, vengeful, and slightly manipulative, is what a siren is. Sirens are known for luring sailors in with their beautiful song, and then destroying them. Although manipulative, sirens cannot help their power, and need to make love to a human in order to become immortal. Sirens are often doomed in love and find themselves becoming bitter by neglect or abuse. Sirens are very powerful creatures, but execute exact and beautiful revenge.

My Interests

Tribal-style belly dancing, history, writing (poetry/spoken word and fiction mostly), books, various forms of spirituality, people-watching, renaissance festivals, music... again, just ask me if you're that curious...

I'd like to meet:

My grandmother on my dad's side, Elanor of Aquitaine, and people who can hold my attention.

Music:

Just about anything.

Movies:

Generally the epic adventure type, but I'm a nerd for amazing cinematography and bad plots.

Television:

History Channel, "The Tudors", and "Reaper", when I actually watch TV...

Books:

'American Gods' by Neil Gaiman (actually, anything by him is good), 'Over the Edge of the World: Magellan's Terrifying Circumnavigation of the Globe' by Laurence Bergreen', 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy, the 'V for Vendetta' and 'Watchmen' graphic novels... and more I'm sure I'm forgetting.
